The first meeting between the West End Dodgers and the Blue Sox started at 4:00 to allow a little time for the opposing team to find the field. The weather turned out a lot better then the local weather man predicted.
From the start of the game the Blue Sox were able to put the bat on the ball. Shawn Covington (the designated hitter) has been carrying the team on his back by driving in the first run RBI of the game.
Nico McElrath and Kenny Akin were able to give the fans to cheer about with a home run.
Everyone on the Blue Sox squad was able to make an impact on the home crowd this Sunday afternoon.
