Game 1 summary:
The first game between the Leeds Pirates and the Sox was actually the second meeting between the two teams. The first meeting was actually a rain out that did not make it to a regulation 5 inning game.
Once again the Sox were hitting on all cylinders! Travis McDaniel started for the Sox, he threw for a total of three innings, no hits and no walks. Trey Benefield came in for two innings to finish out the game.
On the offensive side the Sox had a “Field Day”. Singles and doubles were handed out to the entire team. Nico McElrath and Jayde Boatfield both hit a three run home run in separate innings.
