The first meeting between the Hooper City Royals and The Blue Sox was held today at the Centre Babe Ruth field. The Sox found themselves in a one to nothing hole before the Sox started to hit. Cory Collum was able to earn the first RBI of many. The third inning the Sox were able to make it rain with Kevin Covington, Nico McElrath and Kenny Akin hitting home runs; back to back to back!!!! Before the game was over the Jo Jo Bynum, Kevin Covington and Nico McElrath were able to hit home runs in the fourth inning. After being ten runs up, Jayde Boatfield threw a complete game with five strike outs three walks and only one hit.
