The first meeting of the League defending champions and the Blue Sox was a very exciting game with the first pitch.
Nico McElrath was the first to place a run on the board with a home run to left field. A couple of innings later Kevin Covington was able to hit a two run home run, bringing in Shawn Covington. Across the board the Sox were able to get a pair of hits out of every player in the line up make a grand total of 17 hits for the day.
Jayde Boatfield started pitching for the Sox. The first inning took a few batters before before Boatfield could get comfortable on the hill. With a dozen of runs under his belt Boatfield finished 7.1 innings of work. Patrick Devault finished the last couple of innings to bring the record to 5-2 and a three way tie for second place in the Fred Horn Industrial league.
