The Blue Sox hosted the Bombers of Bessemer on a very warm weathered Saturday evening. From the beginning of the game all the Blue Sox stepped up to the plate and were able to generate runs. In the first inning Kevin Covington and Nico McElrath were able to hit back to back home runs. Before the first inning ended Kenny Akin was able to blast one over the left field fence. Shawn Covington joined the home run club for the day before Kevin added another dinger. Nico McElrath was able to pull a hat trip with three home runs for the day!
On the defensive end Junior Gray started the game to pitch for four innings. Gray was had a solid showing with no hits and only one walk for the day and five strike outs.
