Game Summary:

The game between the Butler Bombers and your local home town Sox began with the two teams going toe to toe.  The Bombers drew first blood by scoring in the second inning.  The Sox turn on the bats in the fourth and the fifth inning.  Jo Jo Bynum, Shawn Covington, Kevin Covington, Kenny Akin and Justin Mackey were able to find a way on and generate runs for both of those innings.  Other members of the line were able to find a way on base by other means that applied needed pressure.

Injuries were the down fall of the Sox this day.  Designated hitter Shawn Covington, infielder Kenny Akin and catcher Jo Jo Bynum were substituted to prevent further injury.  With only 9 players left in the game the Sox managed to keep the lead in the top of the inning.  After being hit by a pitch one of the Sox players was ejected due to an umpire judgement.  Even though the Sox were ahead in runs they were not allowed to continue with 8 players.
